Kenzie's father recently remarried, but she isn't too sure about it all since this is his sixth marriage and getting to know a new stepmom seems pointless. Her father begs her to listen, promising that this time would be different. She moans as the doorbell rings; her father tells her to be good and hangs up. To welcome her new mother, she descends the stairs.
Kenzie finds it hard to realise how tall Ariella is. When Kenzie notices that she's acting a little awkward, she presses her to explain what's wrong and inquires as to whether Kenzie's height is to blame. Ariella starts praising her how adorable she is in an effort to make her feel at ease.
