Since Rachael Cavalli recently divorced Elsa Jean's father, they have been romantically and sexually connected. They must, however, keep their relationship a secret because they are aware that not everyone will approve of it. Since Elsa is so frightened of something awful happening, she has even stopped inviting people home.
