Kenna James is sulking while eating lunch. She recently turned 18 and is about to start college. Kenna rolls her eyes and says no when her stepmother, London River, asks if she'll miss her family. When London mentions that the house will feel empty without her, Kenna responds that she supposes it's a good thing she has Kenna's father to keep her company. Kenna excuses herself and exits the room before London can respond. When London goes upstairs, she notices Kenna's room is in disarray. She notices Kenna's laptop on the bed as she cleans up.
