Mommys Girl - Out Doing God-Knows-What!

Katie Monroe confronts her stepdaughter Penelope Kay about her habit of staying out late and allowing her grades to suffer as a result. Penelope claims that she isn't out partying, but it's clear that she is. A few days later, Katie is on the phone with a friend about how Penelope is doing even WORSE at school than she expected, and she has no idea what to do about it.
However, when Penelope returns home wearing a waitress uniform, she finally admits the truth: she has been secretly working as a waitress to help Katie pay for Penelope's upcoming college. Katie is moved, but believes Penelope should concentrate on improving her grades instead.
