Laney Grey has gone to her room. When she hears the front door open and close, she appears to be anticipating something. Serene Siren, her stepmother, calls, 'Honey, I'm home!'
Laney gets excited when she hears Serene's voice. She jumps into bed and pulls the covers up to her chin. Laney wears a glum expression as she waits for Serene. Laney is clearly pretending to be ill.
Serene walks into Laney's room a moment later. Serene is dressed in a lab coat and carries a stethoscope around her neck. She is clearly a doctor. Laney states that she isn't feeling well and requests that Serene examine her, which appears to be part of Laney's plan.
